Toshiba 3500c color copy quality problem

We have a Toshiba 3500c that is having a problem outputting duplex 11x17 color copies. It prints out the first 80 great, but then a magenta colored bleed appears at the bottom of the page, along the edge, and also the overall color has faded quite a bit. When we let the machine cool down an hour, the color improves and the bleed fades quite a bit, but still appears faintly.

    1) can this machine handle printing over 80 copies, 11X17, color duplex? it seems like it should be able to.
    2) is there any service that can be done to improve it's performance with this specific job?

    thanks in advance,

    R.C.

Yes it can handle it. Your paper has a -lot- to do with your quality. This problem doesn't sound like paper.

Sounds like the machine needs to be serviced. Just call your local Toshiba dealer. If it hasn't been serviced in a while they should look at all four process units, clean them out and vacuum machine out. Probably ought to look at the transfer belt, 2nd transfer facing roller, 2nd transfer roller. And of course the fuser especially since you seem to think it is heat related. These are just the things I would look at if I was doing the call. They should be able to inspect all of these parts in within an hour to an hour and a half including vacuuming. Of course if they have to replace parts that's more time and more money.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.
