[Misc] Reuse Waste Toner Bottles for 2500AC/5005AC Series

On the 7506AC/7516AC series we are able to empty the waste toner and clean the inside of the bottle to reuse it with no issues. We are also able to empty the waste toner bottles on our Ricoh devices and reuse them with ease. Is there any way to empty and reuse waste toner bottles on the 2500AC and 5005AC series machines without any issues? Or do we just have to replace the bottle with a new one each time?

The 2500AC take TBFC30. This is completely sealed and does not have a "window". You can tip them to empty the waste toner out of the IT belt port on the WTC. Just do not ship them as by the time they get there, the entire box will be covered in waste toner.

The xx15 and xx05 series use TBFC505. These wtc have a window on the right side. You can carefully pry out the window, dump the waste toner out, then re-install the window. Hot glue gun works or black Gorilla Tape does the trick. Just make sure you dont block the side of the window.

Any time I "refurb" these in the field I run 05-4833 (wtc recovery) after replacement.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

This video shows you how to empty the contents of both the TBFC30 and TBFC50 Waste toner bottles.

How to clean waste toner on Toshiba - YouTube

When you are on a customer site and need to replace the waste cotainer without a spare on hand.

I always try and keep a couple of assorte recycled waste containers in the car especially on the TBFC30 which is much smaller and more quickly fills up.

Some customers do not get that this is their task to perform every once and awhile, let it overflow and back up into the waste toner auger inflicting a messy, avoidable service call upon themselves plus the $50.00 cost of a new waste toner auger assembly.

We have the WT bottle near end message turned on AND we monitor for that message and the full message in the cloud.
