Toshiba e478s/ Lexmark XM3250 Scan to Folder - XML file

Using Scan Center, I have successfully created a shortcut to a Network folder. Upon scanning, the file appears A-OK but a 2nd unwanted XML file appears as well.

Any idea how to get rid of the 2nd XML file?

Look for "Advanced Options" just under the Test Connection button on the Create Network Folder screen. De-select "Enable Basic XML File".
