I just received a call from the IT support for a law office with multiple printers. He explained that his driver is normally set to direct print, but he said after about 2 weeks the driver switches from direct print to print using spooler, and when that happens the print jobs won't print automatically, he has to click on the job in the print queue, and select resume, then the document prints normally.
He showed me another printer (same model) on the server with the same spooler settings, and that printer prints automatically whether he's using the spooler or not.
There are 2 questions, 1, why is the driver switching to the spooler, the IT has the driver locked so users can't adjust properties, and 2, Is there a reason one printer prints using the spooler and the other one doesn't?
Thanks in advance for your response
Marc
