Hi , just wondering if there is anything common that causes pages to be mangled up and all crooked and sometimes jamming or coming out bunched up and incorrectly folded in the saddle stitch section of a finisher like an 1112 ? It seems right around past the sponge rollers going up around the bottom bend in front of the folding plate and staple cartridges. There is a guide in there way in the middle that has several mylars on it , some pointing straight down. Usually it is an EAB0 error. Thanks

sometimes i remove a small myler in the middle of the saddle unit at the bottom(on the oposite side as staplers, when you open black guide you see 2 grey sponge tires in the middle there is a hiden mylar),and usualy this works for me -

Hi , thanks , is this mylar literally on the bottom of the path , past the sponge rollers , or is it on a guide that has several mylars on it that hang down?Comment

Directly behind the sponge rollers looking in from the open black door there is this guide with those mylars on it , this is the guide i mean. The guide itself is up a little bit , so mostly when looking in from the black door you can see just the mylars.Attached FilesLast edited by razzer; 02-22-2024, 02:52 PM.Comment

Oh yea , that one , gotta wonder what that actually even does , as the papers run under those silver idler brackets and rollers , i mean it is there for some purpose. I know some guys have replaced that guide in the pic i posted above , but it is not easy to do by any means as far as i have seen. Does the mylar in your pic go all the way around that bracket it's on?Comment
