    eBridge Global print

I have two new installs of eBridge Global Print (eGP) coming up in the next month. Both new clients are MS365 subscribers.

One is a e4525AC at the Management office of a large group of homecare workers. They want their field employees and associates to be able to print their reports to a secure PIN # at the head office from the current worksite. Sold.

The second is a e4525AC at a small municipal gov't with 3rd party IT and Laserfiche installed in the cloud. All of their employees will be able to print to the copier from anywhere, any device including those working from home or temporary/ seasonal workers. Pending.

The default print driver will be eBridge Global Print and is installed via click on an email link to all employees in Active Directory and follow the prompts. Very little for IT to manage. The Toshiba Universal 2 print driver can be installed as well.

I think unclaimed print jobs in the eGP print queue are auto deleleted after three days.

    Re: eBridge Global print

... I think for those employees who prefer IP printing we will install the Toshiba Universal 2 Print driver. And for those employees who want to print via the cloud from anywhere with any device, we can install the eGP print driver.

      Re: eBridge Global print

I suspect the municipal gov't will want to trial eGP with a few select employees before they roll it out to all of their employees.

I have a new eGP opporttunity with a Regional Airport Authority that I also suspect that their IT Dept will want to trial eGP before they deploy it to all of their employees.

      Trials are very do-able.

As eGP is Toshiba delveoped intellectual property, this presents a unique low cost competitive advantage that is hosted on a secure Azure server located in Canada. eGP is also an effective form of "Follow Me" printing.

I'm demonstrating an E-Bridge Global Print environment in our showroom and have access to a new released Toshiba Universal 2 Printer Driver defaulted as Mono. It's a link to send to the users and as usual it asks them to connect to Global Print when they first print. The user gets a pop up box to select the regian, GB in our case, They copy the link for the driver registration, Paste it and good to go. Long time coming but works well. Also works with the 388cs Lexmark hybrid when the global app is set up in Top Access, It all works but the lifetime licence is a little tricky to convince the customer to purchase! One off payment for life but really in average for 4 years. Good thing is the customer or user can print from anywhere in the world with an internet connection and release on any device enabled with global print within customers portal anywhere it's placed? Highly recommended to leave the device on DHCP so you can move it to anywhere! It still works with an internet connection without reinstalling drivers or any reconfig! Pretty cool
