MJ-1024 folding about an 1/8 of an inch skewed (front not square to back). I been through the SM but don't see the adjustment for this condition. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Your talking about the inner side plate assembly correct? How exactly is it supposed to get adjusted? Not like any of my tools would go in there easily to do so )o:
I tried just adjusting the plate it self by hand yesterday but this method does not seem appropriate or give the correct results. I only have the SPL manual for this. Thank you very much for the reply.Comment

Where the paper exists is a jam clearance door (bottom of the finisher) with this open there is a y shaped bracket held in place by 2 screws and has marks for adjustments. Loosen the screws and move the plate. The tilt is what adjust the skew. It is trial and error as to how much but I use the 1/2 rule. Move the plate about 1/2 of the total skew and check then move about halve of what is left until it is gone. And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!Comment

Yes Spock, this is exactly the type of adjustment I was looking for. Except I can not find anything like what you describe.
I am in the lower jam access door, directly under the trays. When the pages are in the finisher the bottom rests on what the SM calls "inner side plate assembly". This is a plate with five tabs on it and a sensor switch that the pages land on to activate.
We are talking about the same finisher, MJ-1024 saddle stitch booklet maker, correct?
This is driving me crazy.Comment
