This will work if you have the latest firmware installed.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

      Spock... Is that true?

Can you really use OLDER Enablers with the right firmware...? I had NO IDEA.

Yes it is true. I can confirm it that in THIS case you can.

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

Actually the gm2071 is the newer dongle and needs I believe it is v321 or higher firmware to work. The older gm2070 is suppose to work irregardless of the firmware level. And this is true on all the machines that the dongle was changed by 1 on the last number. The older dongles work on all firmware levels but the "new" dongles work with basically the latest and greatest firmware only.

OMG... (to borrow a phrase from teenagers....)

If I had known this, I could have saved a TON of money buying the old Enablers... JEEZ.... Toshiba and their games. Like making a new part number toner for the e-283's instead of keeping it the old part number. And changing the toner cartridge slightly so it don't fit... hmmmmm

The gm2070 is the usb dongle. This is good for the es202L, 232and 282 models.
