    toshiba e studio 351c

    Dear All,

    I have e studio 351c not printing through LAN Card.Infact no LED lit when i insert Lan cable.Printing from USB port is ok."Network initializing" comes but doesn't disappear nor LAN LEDS responds.
    Can anyone tell me whats wrong and where?

    You may have either a bad ethernet port or the NIC portion of the System board is bad. You can try to re-intialize the NIC with 08-693. This will reset the network settings to factory defaults. Hope this helps.

      I did it but no LAN LEDs blink,no LAN Card Relpy...

        You may have a bad System board then. Have you tried connecting your laptop directly to the machine?

          SO try shutting down the machine.....does it have to wait for a long time? if YEs then your firmwares corrupted...re installing firmware will do it..

            NIC is part of SYS Bd.. big $$$. I've been working on digital Toshibas since the DP 2570 and have had to replace many NICs on these products but never since they made the NIC/SYS a combo board. (Not including lightning induced problems) Try a laptop and X-over cable to see if yuo get better results after firmware reload. Ed
