Thanks Firestarter, The sensor on the side of the door is not missing and
the machine is not getting "z" fold jams. It did how ever seem to change
the paper setting in the lower of two trays from Ltr to Ltr-R. Once the
customer change the paper to Ltr-R it runs fine.
I will see if it will print out the error and jam log. But their is nothing in
there to print under 253. High low clutches, are those like registration
clutches?
I have not located a 256mb thumb drive to reload the firmware. Anyone
have a good source for this item?
ToshibaTech, I'm afraid I have not heard of that method. What is the SD card and
reader? And ebridge sounds like some type of software?
I have not had the benifit of going to any of the Japanese factory schools
or dealer classes. Is that similar to the flash card used by ricoh?
I'de like to hear a little more of the sd method... did not know this was possible except with USB drive. EMujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.
It's hit and miss you just have to try what you have but yes USB card readers will work (probably not all brands) we have a customer that prints right off their camera SD cards on a newer machine using a reader. I have heard that you can also use USB HDDs. There's not a whole lot of point to that, but I just use the SD card reader because I had it and it happened to work. Funny thing is the card reader would not work on my laptop but works on another computer and in all the toshibas... hit and miss like I say.
ToshibaTech,
I have a flash card with my compaq laptop. Not sure on how to use it
tho. I will have to look into it. As far as walmart that is good to hear.
I will have a look today if I get the chance.
There is so much to these machines now a days it hard to keep up with,
I mean it really bites into my fishing and camping time.
Thanks for your inputs. At the moment I have other fires to put out.
And will fall back on this in a day or two.
