    Reset or clear Insert Copy Key counter in toshiba 28

    I have 5 toshiba 28 and in the display show the massage : insert copy key counter. I have seen but no place or key counter is or was inserted, i think that someone has activated this option! Can anyone please tell me what to do, is there any way i can deactivate this function?
    Please help i have it very urgent.

    If you have a look through the service manual in the 08 codes, you will find your possible answer in the first few codes.

      back right corner of the machine is a plug with 2 wires going to a board and another wire that loops between the plug. If this last wire is cut you get this message. It means an external copy counter (equitrac or like model) was connected to the machine and remove when traded in.
      And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

        HAHA!!!

        I forgot about that little wire. Caused me a whole lot of pain when setting up a CopyGaurd device.
        Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

          Yes i know that i can find it in the service manual, but the problem is i can not find the service manual and i do not have it.....

          Can anyone e-mail me the service manual of toshiba 28 PLEASE>>>

                  Turn on while holding 0 and 8 for a few seconds.

                  enter 202 then print.
                  enter 0 then set.

                  Off then on.

                  Done.
