scan menu disabled

    scan menu disabled

    Hi there ,
    I have two gl1010 studio35 mfp but they have not similar functions !
    when I push Printer/network hard button one of them have 3 enabled funtions : Printer/ Scan / admin
    but in 2nd scan menu is disabled !
    could anyone assit me what's worng ?
    what should I do ?

      Upgrade to latest (Linux) software in order to have scan menu or find a dongle for scan function. First method is faster and cheaper.

      I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

          Are you sure that the 2nd machine has the scan enabler installed?
          Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

              On the GL1010And Gl1020 equiped machines it was not an "enabler" it was a dongle that plugs into the parallel port of the controller. The enablers were on the ebridge series.
              I would update to the "unix" version and have the scan option instead of trying to find a dongle.
              And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

                  if you want to scan you must update os GL10x0

                  OS version:2.1.25, 2.2.67, 2.3.9.14 include scan funtions
