Could You please check error code. While there is an indication for paper jam press Clear and 8 together and the code is displayed. Anyway it sounds like exit sensor.

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

I agree, the fuser exit actuator is problematic on these (and 450/452). The flag bulges at the tip and hangs up. In addition, the sensors location right over the fuser exposes it to excessive heat. You can take a sensor from any of the trays, and switch them around to trouble-shoot. EMujo

I believe that is a copy count. Error code can be obtained by holding down the "C" and "8" keys while the machine is in a jammed condtion. Should display EXXX, FXXX, or CXXXX. EMujo

E55 is paper remaining on transport path after CRUN is off. I usually solve many of these "ghost" jams by puling the transport path apart and cleaning all the sensors. The flags are loacated in the middle of the path, but the senors are at the rear. Over time they get dirty and cause these types of jams. My guess is the sync sensor is hanging up, or mis reading.
