e-Studio 650, fix c26 error, bad copies

I left a sheet of paper on my copier overnight, when I do this, I get C26 error, even after restarting sometimes. I have cleaned all glass, mirrors, white strip etc... Put it back together and now it does not show C26 error but is copying and scanning lines and distortion. This happened last time I left a sheet of paper on my copier... It eventually started working... I have checked all ribbon cables and plugs, all is good and tight. Not sure what it could be since it happens when I leave a sheet of paper on the glass overnight. it will print from computer great, and prints config great. The light comes on when running test for scan, it clears white strip fine now, just having print and scan distorted issues.

Your ccd unit is starting to fail (common to this machine). replace the ccd/lens assy.

This might sound odd, but i've had good success with this...Take out the glass and shine a flashlight directly into the lens,,,close up....Then shine flashlight directly in middle of mirror 2.. somehow it resets ccd... Laugh if you like,,,but this has worked at least 7 or eight times for me...did a 650 last month
