E3511 code CE40

Have a Toshiba e3511 with CE40 code. Intravia says test pattern problem, but don't know how to clear or what might need replacing....any ideas?

Rather than repeating everything, have a look at this post on the site, its for a es451 which is the newer version of the 3511, but the code and the fix is the same.
