Counts are stored on both LGC and SYS pcb's.

It would be illegal to reset the total counts. If you replace a SYS or LGC bd, there is a 08 code that lets you push the count from one board to the other, but not a reset. Emijo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

I agree with emujo. It is the same as winding back the odometer in a car.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

No I did this once and had to call tech support for the solution. Something about not following the replacement procedure correctly (reflashing the machine before the counter transfer or vice versa). And they do log this for future reference if they send a specialist out......
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

I don't know about you guys but we have more than one machine where we seemingly went by the book when replacing NVRAM and the counters never get right. Toshiba tells us you can't make them right! Wild thing is in 257 it's right but under user functions it is not! Toshiba has helped us with one procedure on equipment that was almost new, but they have never been able to tell us how to put a different number in the counter. I have replaced NVRAM and boards on 4520c series and it seems like it is much simpler, no 257 to screw with just automatic.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

It can be done but it is illegal. Why would you need to reset the total counter?
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

Why do you think? So he can sell an old machine as new. It isn't rocket science.
