    Toshiba E studio 351c

    Dear All,

    I have one Toshiba e studio 351c.Its scanning and copying quality is very poor.I tried to adjust exposure but in vain.I tried to make calibration but when i put the chart on glass it says plz set the chart.I tried to make Automatic gamma adjustments it give me error.I can print throught PC its ok but IF i want to print any Scanned document even through pc, Print gets faded and black printing txt gets brown and weak.
    Does its lamp get weakend or somthing else?????

    Any Idea to resolve the issue

    Have you tried clean the mirors and the exposure lamp? What is the error code you are getting?

      Yes Dear I have cleaned the mirrors and exposure lamps breifly.....infact no error its copying and scanning but the quality is more than poor.Printing is fine through PC and even if we make print of Function list its ok.But scanning is dim so as copy.

        I would FIRST check the lamp then the SLG board ( try reseating conections) if that does not fix it you may need to replace the board.

          Do you think Lamps could be faulty? 2. can i install SLG & Lamp of e stduio 3511 into e stduio 351c? What about if we scan the page from HP scanner and it gives very poor quality and change Black txt into dark brown and blure print where as if you make any diagram or text and print from computer...its ok...Please suggest ...For More Details..I have attached Two Pages 1 is Original and 2 is scanned and printed from faulty machine.

            Looks like an optics problem to me... Usually caused by film or biuld up on the mirrors. I would double check to be sure. I have also had this particular CQ problem that needed a system bd to resolve it. Something in the image processing section went whacko. EMujo

              Pull and clean the laser. These can get very dirty.
