Toshiba E-Studio 3511 Firmware Installing Problem

    Hello everybody!
I have tried some times to install E-Studio 3511 firmware like this :

1-I have formated USB Drive ( 4 GB ) in FAT format.
2-I have copied E-Studio 3511 firmware files (sysfirm,rom,1,2,3,4 files) to USB Drive
3-Put USB Drive in E-Studio Copier
4-Switching on copier by pressing 4+9
5-After this i see something like this :

    Download Strorage Update Mode
    Please wait...now Initialization

    Please help me!I need urgently!

The thumb drive probably has a hidden program on it called U3. If it does then a format will not remove it and this will not allow it to work. You will need to find the U3 remover online and then try again.

ITs a SILICON POWER Usb Drive and has no U3 software installed.

Your thumb drive is too large. Nothing larger than 1 gb for ebridge 1. Largest I've tried for newer ebridge is 2 gb. Also, ensure the drive is formatted FAT, not FAT32. You may have to fine an older laptop or PC if FAT is not an allowed choice. EMujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

I'have formated FAT with HP Format Utility.
But as i looked for this problem, seems to be problem of USB drive storage.
Toshiba recomends USB Drive 128 MB.
              THank you

I have used 128mb, 256mb, 512mb and 1gb thumb drive. When you say you used the hp format utility what do you mean? With the thumb drive in the computer do the following. (with nothing worth saving on the drive).
                  open my computer
right click on the thumnb drive
                  click format
use the drop down to select fat or fat16 (both are the same)
select yes to the popup about losing data
wait a minute or 2 for the format to finish then transfer the files and run the firmware update.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

Everything is ok right now, because the E-Studio 4511 where i tried to install firmware, had Board problems and i am using it for parts right now.
                    In E-studio 3511 i installed correctly new firmware,using a 256 MB Flash Disk.
                    Thank you so much
