2330c Firmware / Automated Meter Reading Emails

I'm looking for the latest firmware for the Toshiba 2330c.

We are under contract with a company who were getting automated meter readings from the machine. Recently they said they have stopped getting them. They say it might be because our firmware is a promo version. That just doesn't wound right to me.

I also asked if they could send someone out to fix the automated thing, and they said that the our IT dept should be able to take care of this.

Does anyone know how to enable/add or setup the automated emails?

There is no promo firmware on Toshiba's. There is trial mode on some things (print and scan) but most color boxes include this as standard, so there is no trial mode on them. I am not trained on the 2330c so it may be different.
Usually when this happens it is because the password/email account is no longer valid, Change (patch,or setting) was made on the server, someone changed the account on the MFP, etc..
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

About the time they said they stopped receiving them, one of their techs came in and basically rebuilt our machine. The screen went black, and nothing would work. He said he check everything. The next day he came back and replaced alot of boards. He ran into a problem loading the files, so he just changed Hard Drives and then it worked. I think the person telling me all this firmware stuff, is looking for an excuse. We have a service contract with them so I dont see any reason why they would give us a Trial Firmware. Everything works fine on the unit. Im sure its just something the original tech forgot to setup.

maybe someone knows how to check/change?

If it is like the rest of the Toshiba's then go into admin mode (user function>admin>password>) look for a tab on the lower right corner labeled service. If this is not there then he forgot to set it up and that should be there fault. When he replaced the hard drive did he update the firmware? If not you may have issues with incompatible firmware in the future. Also did they reset the email settings or did they just input the ip and verify printing and leave?

I believe he did upgrade the firmware or did something to it, with his USB. The other thing, I guess there was this chip that he said had all the network settings, or previous printer settings; so after he restarted it, the IP was already there. The only thing I had to setup was our fax to file. We use it as our primary fax machine, and all faxes go to a file share on our server, as pdf.

I checked, and it did have a service section. I found a service notifications, which allows me to enter an email address for sending counter info. It had an email already there, which looks like its going to the right place. I'll need to check with them to see if its the right email.

I'll also add my own email and check if the machine is even sending them out.

Also, in the same section for service notifications, it had "Total Counter Transmit" and "PM Counter Transmit". Do you know what the PM one is for? Both were set as ON

PM counter just sends a message when your "PM time" has come. Total Counter is what you are most likely interested in. If it is set to e-mail then the e-mail server information has to be setup in the copiers web interface under Admin>Network>SMTP Client, if it is set to fax then it's a no brainer. Sounds like the tech forgot something or didn't test it before he left, I'd have him come back out so he can set it up the way his office wants it.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.
