Have problem when shutting down copier (User function->user->shut down) It hangs up showing "Shutdown in progress" for a long long time and doesn't shut down at all.

Try format HDD -
Has someone changed the HDD at some point? or have the users been using the on/off switch to turn off the machine? this usually happens on e452 ( also e450 ) when the HDD has been changed but the firmware for the HDD hasn't been loaded after.
Reload the firmware ( complete update if you dont have the matching HDD only firmware that corisponds to the rest of the firmware on the copier )
After reloading the firmware, go into 08 mode & run code 947 to initialize the firmware.
After running 08 - 947, switch machine on in normal mode, then shutdown. you may notice it take a while & a number 1 appear on the screen randomly. leave it to do this (it's unpacking the firmware to it's correct memory addresses) this first shut down can take anything from a minute to half an hour.
after this your machine should shut down correctly (assuming they are using the shut down function & not switching the machine off with the ON/OFF switch!)Happiness Is The Road.Comment
