    [Misc] Fax issue estudio 451

Hey Im kinda new to Toshibas I have a customer saying that there faxes are coming in slow. They also said someone may have changed settings in service mode (1)(3).

What should settings be at? or is there a way I can clear memory or return settings to default? THanks in advance.

To my knowledge, there is no way to "slow down" incoming faxes. It's a G3 fax and should have no problems communicating with other G3 devices. If faxes are indeed coming in slow, it is probably a MFP problem and would show up on prints/copies. You can init the fax by powering up in while holding 1 & 3. At the test mode screen, type in 100 and press start. This will clear any image data, address books, and reset it back to factory. The firmware for this should be at ver 16. Problems that would slow the MFP down are fusing and toner related issues. Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

You can go into the 1&3 mode and turn it down on the speed rating. I have had to do this at the 5/3 banks to get it to work reliably. This would not be noticeable to the enduser unless they sat there with a stopwatch.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!
