    E studio 3500c error

Customer asked me for a favor and asked me to look at there copier to see if i could fix it. 3500c has a CA20 error code that pops up when you make a copy paper gets as far as gray registration roller. I have never worked on a Toshiba mainly Sharp and Canon so if you need more info i'll try my best. Thanks

Pull off left side cover, and small grey cover to the right of the waste box. You should see 2 connectors that route to the laser unit. Pull both of these...next, remove 2 screws that secure laser in place..one towards the yellow I/U and one behind the 2nd cover you allready pulled. Laser unit pulls out from left side after font and rear wire harnesses are removed. Remove top cover and "Gently" clean/remove any dust. Re-assemble all. There is one more connector behind the PWB box that can become dislodged and give this code. If you look up from the bottom you will see 2 wire harnesses that route through the PWB box from left to right with a pass through connector. Ensure these 2 connections have not come loose. A bad lasser unit is rare, but not unheard of. EMujo
