e-Studio2820c " Reboot the Machine" on Display

We are facing a problem in e-Studio 2820c machine shows "Reboot the Machine" intermittently. There is no error code logged in 08-253. If the machine is restarted then it starts printing/copy/scan. We had updated the firmware still the problem exist. This happens atleast once in a day. Any suggestions / tips to resolve. Thanking you in advance.

I have had similar problem with e230. So it is Win7-firmware-driver problem.

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

4520 series (2820 included) has Win7 drivers out and have been working great for us. Before they came out the solution was to use the Vista Driver loaded on each machine over TCP/IP Port 9100. Don't use the SMB share (point and print) to load the driver. Instead go to printers, add printer, local, add new port, have disk, etc... Before Win7 drivers came out this resolved the "Reboot" messages for us.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

I also had a customer facing this problem. however, it is a standalone machine (i.e. no network printing/scanning). i have updated the firmware version to 450SY0*210, set [08]-9988 -> 1 (automatically reboot), it will automatically reboot the machine if it encounters any problems. (not sure how that's gonna work though)
still monitoring the case, should the customer report anything, will let u guys know

I have not seen this model since we got bought out before it was available. I would suspect either the system pwb or the hard drive. Possible overheating in that area also. The only other thing is the wall power dropping too low causing a logic error.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

Thank you all for the reply. There is only one laptop with Win7 & we had configured the XPS driver with std tcp/ip port. Firmware is version 210 only. Replaced the HDD also. Currently we had removed the printer driver from Win 7 and isolated the laptop from printing to this m/c. even then Very randomly this error is coming, may be once a day or twice. some times not at all for one day. The power socket is also changed, shifted to another room and observed also. 08-9988 automatically reboot never happened in our case, always we are restarting.

I have had this issue on 2 machines and each time it was the system board. Best of luck.
