    e-Studio 520, not able to initialize NIC....

    I've tried resetting with 08-693 and re-entering all IP Addresses... Tried reformatting HDD. No dice.... Customer believes problem occurred when they had a lightning strike (no surge protector). Firmware is at version 324, but I don't this alone would cause this. Machine was printing fine (customer tells me) prior to lightning strike....

      I believe the NIC is integrated on this model. You might have a blow SYS board. Try connecting a laptop directly to it, different cable, different switch port etc...
      I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

          Just had the same problem on a 520 last month. (also after a lightning strike) The lights on my NIC stayed on all the time, whether anything was plugged in or not. I had to replace the system board.

              If youre looking @ replacing the sys board try 08-669 first this will re inishallise the sys board worth a shot but its not a reccomended every day action but ive cured some weird ones with it

                  Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.
