    Estudio 45 Scanner issues

I have a client with an eStudio45 which works perfectly except for the scanner. The scanner functions but no longer sends the scanned documents to the respective mailboxes. It doesn't matter which mailbox. It scans but will not transmit the finished scan to where it needs to go. Toshiba states they have never had an issue with a scanner failing "partially" Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

I am assuming this is a GL1010 on the E45... if so, open a web page using the printer's IP address. Find the job log page and get the reason the job is failing. If you have never cleared the logs, go into the admin page and do so. Since your scanning to the mailboxes, you may have to delete any unneeded files to free up room. If you have an older GL it may have a 30-40gb HDD which should be updated to at least 80gig and I have put 120 gb drives in that worked. You need 2 CDs to accomplish the upgrage. PM me if you want additional details. Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

Actually, as near as I can tell there is no fiery unit attached to this machine unless it's embedded into the copier somewhere. All cables come directly from their router into the machine itself. But I will be there tomorrow and will investigate further. I will take your information with me and follow your recommendations. When I was there yesterday, I scanned two jobs in and checked the job log and there was NO information about the scans. Will follow up at end of the day tomorrow night.
      Thanks!

OK make sure what you're doing is scanning and not "E-Filing". E-file is simply placing docs on the glass or feeder and scanning them into the mailbox. GL1010 is hard to miss, big box mounted on paper feed pedestal. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the E810 series was the only one to offer a scan soution that was tied to the embedded board, GA-1040 only was a printer. Still think you may have a HDD at capacity. Emujo

Sent a PM from my cell this afternoon. May have sent it twice by mistake. Please let me know if you don't receive it.
          Thanks for your assistance.
          I await your reply

GL1010 is hard to miss, big box mounted on paper feed pedestal. - Not exactly. GL-1010 is mounted to bottom part of the machine in the back.

To masterofpatience - On the left side You can see a CD rom drive. This is one of the easy to recognise differences to GA-1040.

GA-1040 has an options hard drive and PS chip for PS printing. And we have scanning if we have them. But I have never install such a things.

            Hope this helps.

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

youve probally checked this but sounds that the scans are going into the wilderness and have no destination check destination in top access set up a scan share folder by \\ip address etc on youre laptop using a crossover and see if it scans to that
