Toshiba 4511 fails to update in the printer configuraration utility.

Hi folks, I am working on a 4511 that fails the configuration update through the print driver.
I suspect this is part of the larger problem of locking up the pc.
I can change the driver settings and the copier will respond accordingly but if I change anything on the copier, I cannot get the driver to auto update.
    Any thoughts ?

If you are having problems with the PC I'd start there. The cause is likely outside the machine either: 1. With the PC or 2. With something like a firewall blocking SNMP communication. You could have SNMP disabled under port configuration in the driver or disabled on the copier.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

Thank you for your advise. I did check the snmp settings and all is on. I used my laptop on site and could not get the driver config to update. Back at the workshop I have a 4511 and the driver config will update straight away. I cant get the nic to default wil 08-693 or 08-1119. I have changed nic setting and then 08-693 reboot. checked the nic setting and my changes are still there.
The nic is not initializing. I would like to be able to fully init the nic before I go back on site.
Any help will be very much appreciated.

It might be the problem with HDD. Check HDD's errors in 08. Try to reformat it.

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

I believe the NIC is separate on this model (EB1.) You're probably looking at having to replace it if that's the case. Make sure it is connected to the SYS board well. When you do 08-693 if you don't wait for the card to initialize it will flash up "Network Initializing" when you try to run the code. Wait a good 10 minutes idle in 08 mode before running the code and see if you can get it to go through. If you have Firmware I would definitely try that along with the HDD tip above as well!
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.
