    e4520c Series e5520c Series #10 Envelopes

Has anyone been able to get #10 Envelopes to print successfully from the Bypass on these copiers?

I realize you have to create a custom paper size in the Print Driver.

I found my own answer elsewhere in Copytechnet.com under

I tired it on my e2830c and it seems to work by creating a custom paper size for #10 Envelopes.

    105 mm x 241 mm or 4 1/8" x 9 1/2"

MS Word, Tools, Letter & Mailings, Options

Feed Method, 5th Icon from Left side
Envelope face down. Top of envelope closest to back of copier.
    Bypass tray
    Clockwise rotation off.

Successfully ran single envelopes. Not recommended for 10+ envelopes.

Probably easier to use some other laser printer in the office.

My personal opinion is that anything over 30 pages per minute should not be used for envelopes. Manufacturers may say they can but I try to convince the customer not too.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

I am sure you are correct. I am trying to win a deal against a competitive sales rep. My objective is to present a short term solution. Once I get the deal and this small obstacle is forgotten in the Purchasing process, I will recommend the customer uses a laser printer for their envelopes. Besides printing an envelope on a copier cost a full click. Printing an envelope on a printer cost only the toner.

We have customers printing envelopes on these machines in ---LIMITED--- quantities and they all understand it is NOT supported and if they do it we are not responsible for the results. Generally the envelopes will wrinkle unless you get one that the flap isn't in contact with the feed rollers on the bypass. I.E. the flap is straight across not a "V"

I still think it's better to stick to a little printer for envelopes though.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.
