Toshiba E-Studio 4511 - Can't delete scanned files from HD

I recently had a toshiba tech replace a hard drive on our e studio 4511. When we scan files on this machine we have them saved to the copier's hard drive. After replacing the drive we are unable to delete scanned files. We can move them from the toshiba HD to another computer on the network but we cannot delete them directly from the toshiba HD? When we attempt to delete the file manually from a computer connected to the network we get the error message

"Cannot delete "file": Network access is denied. Make sure you have the correct network permissions to perform this task"

I've set up the copier in TopAccess to not delete files automatically but am still unable to manually delete them. Any ideas?

Agree with mr spock..what I don't understand is when the HDD is replaced, you must reload firmware to get the MFP back up and running. My guess is the tech had an old version that didn't include this fix (XP service pack 2 issue). If you are under maintenance, I would call and have MFP updated to latest firmware ASAP. If not covered, I would start complaining that the tech should have brought the MFP up to the latest version while he was there and I would not pay twice to have him/her come back out. Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

Firmware fixed this, why do so many people underestimate the power of firmware.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.
