    Bulk installation

    Hi guys,
I have handled a lot of printer driver installation and I was just wondering,
Is there a way to do mass printer driver installations (like, to "push" all the printer drivers to the PCs) to simplify such a mundane job?

Yes it can be done in server-client environment via server script. Or You can share driver on a particular PC and on any other PC station to set "Folder Option - View tab - Automatically search for network folders and printers".

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

Depending on the customer I usually show someone how to use the installer and let them fly with it. Works great most of the time. Of course sometimes I have to manually do it. If the driver is shared off their server I have found that many people already know how to browse for a printer, and if they do not know how it's easy to show them.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

If you use the Auto Installer off of the included CD, the installer will create a RAW port. You will still have to go back to each PC and change the Port Settings to LPR, type "print" under the Queue name and untick LPR Byte counting and SNMP Status.

No quotation marks around, print .

If you do not uncheck LPR byte counting it will slow down printing.

What is wrong with printing to Port 9100?

Nothing wrong with RAW printing. Moreover I would say it works faster than LPR in most networks. But we are out of the initial quiestion...
