    E-studio 650

Paper passes reg roller fully and jams between drum and reg roller, not reaching drum scrappers. It seemed like tr belt stop turning for a moment, but in 03 mode all motors worked fine. Changed tr belt motor board and it worked for 2 days without any problem. But now same jams again.. Any ideas ???

I have had something similar and I needed to take the registration unit completely out and clean it. There is a pad under the registration roller that gets totally clogged with paper dust and debris. How many copies do you have on this? May be thinking of a different machine as this was an older Lanier that I worked on but I'm pretty sure it's the same model.

    Good luck.

code E-01. Like I said, paper stops on TR belt after passing reg roller. Cleaned all sensors, you can turn TR belt with "one finger", there's no exessive load. Motor is turning reverse before copying for a few seconds and when paper starts to come it turns forward for a second and stucks making noise. Can it be couse of motor itself , not of the controller ?

          Toshiba says:

[E01] Leading edge of paper not reaching the fuser exit sensor
[E02] Trailing edge of paper not passing the fuser exit sensor
Open the jam access cover. Is there any paper on the transport path?
          YES
          Remove the paper.
          NO
Is the fuser exit sensor working?
(Perform the input check in the test mode: 03-[ENERGY SAVER]ON/[6]/[F])
          NO
          1. Check if the connector of the exit sensor is disconnected.
          2. Check if the connector J335 on the LGC board is disconnected.
          3. Check if the connector pins are disconnected and the harnesses are opencircuited.
          4. Check if the conductor pattern on the LGC board is short- or open-circuited.
          5. Replace the exit sensor.
          6. Replace the LGC board.
          YES
Is the registration motor working? (Perform the output check in the test mode: 03-108/158)
          NO
          1. Check if the connector of the registration clutch is disconnected.
          2. Check if the connector J341 on the LGC board is disconnected.
          3. Check if the connector pins are disconnected and the harnesses are opencircuited.
          4. Check if the conductor pattern on the LGC board is short- or open-circuited.
          5. Replace the registration clutch.
          6. Replace the LGC board.
          YES
Check the registration roller. Replace it if it is worn out.

I know it is odd but take a closer look at the exit sensor.

Checking the sensor is not enough. I have cases that in 03 exit sensor of eS45 is working but still machine makes jams. After exchanging it machine start to work normally. So take such a opto couple from some other unit of the machine and see what will happens. There are a lot of such opto couples all over in the machine.
