    toshiba 3500c with Fiery issues

Hi. We just got two used 3500c machines in the shop and we are trying to get them running so they can go out to customer sites. The problem is that we can't figure out the networking with the fiery.

Can someone give me an idea how this is supposed to work? How are they attached? It looks like I need a cat5 cable from the MFP port to the copier's LAN port. Is it crossover or standard? What up setting needs to be on the copier LAN port? What is the power on sequence? When I press the Extension button I get an error that says "can't connect to 192.168.1.1"

Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

Can I just unhook the Fiery and use the copier for printing as is?

    Thanks

    Scott

    Instructions

Hope this can help..but yes, the 3500C has an embedded controller, if al else fails you can pull the Fiery off and it will still be a printer/scanner. The only thinkg the controller gives you is a much better management tool for printing color (tweaking, command workstation ect). The MFP does make color copies any better (or worse) without it.
