[Error Code] Toshiba estudio 25 firmware

I sent the laser unit out to be repaired as it had failed and when it came back there was a note included that the machine firmware will need to be updated to use the newly repaired laser.
Sure enough I have the CA1 error.

Does anyone have the firmware for this model?

    Thanks

In case You have a service call You will need special toshiba pcb's named jigs to update the firmware. If You have READY when start the machine then You will need software Toshiba Viewer and local connection. So what is Your case?

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

You are in a pickle...Firmware for the E25 is updated 2 ways..either with a laptop running Win2k and a par. port, or with the special firmware jigs and pre-programmed EEPROMS and here's the bad (or worse) news...Toshiba dosen't support the MFP anymore...EEPROMS are not available to purchase and I don't think the file for the laptop is available anymore. You are going to have to find someone to lend you the jigs to get this done. You may want to contact a local Toshiba dealer and have them do this for you. We have the jigs, but it would be a 2 day trip from sunny Fla. Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

That's what I was afraid of. I had a suspicion that was going to difficult to find.
The laser unit works sort of in a Xerox WCP 416 (basically the same machine) with occasional error codes thrown but it is a dead nuts CA1 in the Toshiba.
No Toshiba dealers in my area actually and they contacted me to see if I am interested in becoming one, funny you should mention.
Anyway, thanks for the reply. I'm sure the two day drive from FLA and the sun to come to snow and gray skies would be the last thing you would want to do.

No, won't come to ready. Goes into CA1 during warm up. Actually, a little after I hear the laser spin up.
The machine is in the shop. I can create a local connection but do not know about the software you mention.

          Thanks

I should have tried that before I sent it out.
              I did consider it.
I assume you have had success with this before.

Yes I've done this before, the only thing you have to do is put the laser unit in without the top on because the connector is top mounted rather than side mounted.then you can fit the top of the laser unit

If You can get older version of laser unit without problem (CA1, CA2), You can use PC+Toshiba Viewer to update. After that You can put new version of laser. I have firmware for viewer solving CA1 with new laser unit. PM me if interested.
