    eSTUDIO 2820c Op panel

    Gday all,
    Happy new year.

Just been on a call at an e-STUDIO 2820c with an unresponsive op panel. Have yet to come across this fault on any Toshiba.
All I did was removed the op panel and disassembled. Checked and reseated all connectors and reassembled. Now the op panel is working like a charm.
Pretty much asking if any of you techs have come across this fault on this particular model, and if so have you replaced any parts to prevent this from happening again as I'm sure this fault will come back in a day or so.

    Cheers,
    J

    LCD Display

Toshiba updated the Touchscreen and harness beginning of last year. Attach is the bulletin with the serial number cut-ins.
Perhaps they had the same supplier as Ricoh and decided to make changes in productions.
I have not seen this problem with the Toshiba product line but looking at the update this is exactly the same deal as Ricoh had with thousands of copiers.

I had the same problem on a 2330c. Did the same thing, took apart, reseated and has worked for over 6 months with no issues. Was yours set to be adjustable or locked? I put the lock stop on the bottom.

        Cheers Meach,
I hadn't seen that bulletin, will order the parts when back in the workshop. Wonder how similar they are to the Ricoh panels, coz I've just replaced 3 of them in the last 2 days.
@Travis06 My op panels always have the locking block installed. Would be interesting to see how long it will last without replacement just for an experiment, but from what I've seen of Ricoh's it;s mostly a waste of time. Works for a while then shits itself again, so I just replace when the customer says it has been freezing.

        Thanks for the replies.
