    Toshiba e studio 25

I have a problem with my toshiba e studio 25,
the problem is when i try to print/copy something the 1/3 of the page is darker and the the 2/3 is lighter, what can i do? when i tried to copy without the cap, the result was a page 1/3 dark black and 2/3 of grey scale. Can anyone imagine what kind of problem is this?

Are you familiar with working on copiers? If not about all I can suggest is taking some canned air and blowing out the metal part with the two wires in it which is attached to the door which you open to remove a jam. If that doesn't do it I'd suggest calling a trained technician unless you feel up to removing the glass (four screws left side) and cleaning the mirrors/lamp with a microfiber cloth (or similar.) If you screw up your optics (mirrors etc) then you have a major PITA problem to fix.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

      Thanks for the reply.

I did not quite understand what you are talking about. the part that gets hot, on the right side?

you feel up to removing the glass (four screws left side) and cleaning the mirrors/lamp with a microfiber cloth (or similar.)
I did that but had no success. I called a trained technician and he suggest to change these parts

      p { margin-bottom: 0.08in; } 41306801000
      GUIDE-RIGHT
      41314015000
      LEVER-PR-F-AW
      41303611000
      OD-1600 DRUM
      41303612000
      BL-1600 DRUM BLADE

I only changed OD-1600 DRUM and BL-1600 DRUM BLADE. I discussed it with another technician and he told me that the guide right is just for the disign and that the lever is not so importnant.
Thanks again, any ides would be apreciated.

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

did you reset the drum counter? I hope you at least pulled the glass of and cleaned the optics before you started buying parts hoping to throw something in that works.. get a maintenance contract on the next MFP and let the tech do the work and feed his family. BTW, the E25 is one really old Toshibasaurus!!! Hope that 71 Pinto of yours is running great!!!
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

Things I would do in order. Clean optics (you state you did this by removing glass, cleaning 3 mirrors, one reflector, one lamp, one lens.) Clean laser slit glass (remove process unit and use a piece of rag on a thing dowel rod or the like.) Clean or preferably restring charge and transfer corona wires. Finally replace developer material which seems to last forever on these models anyway. If all else fails make 05 adjustments which are unlikely to be the problem since the copies are not the same degree of "light" all over.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

Make solid black copy. Get laser unit out of copier. Clean mirrors on polygon motor. Re assemble. Make another solid black copy.

I agree with ivovb. On that machine the polygonal mirror in the laser gets a build up of ozone on the outer edges. Also mixing up the springs under the t/s will cause a similer problem.

Is there any chance, HR2500L(Lower Pressure Roller) causing the problem?
I saw that on the side where the "lighter" part is, it has some scratches.

                    Any ideas would be appreciated
