hey guys i was wondering if you can help me with this intermittent problem i have on a toshiba estudio 850. the machine has close to two million copies on it. what happens is that intermittently it will void out half of the prints entirely blank. id say 2/3rds of the image on the prints will be blank. i was not able to reproduce the problem while i was there but i do know i've replaced the laser on the machine about 3 months ago for a laser code. can it be the board that sits on top of the laser? any thoughts on this? i will ask the customer to save some test printouts so i can post them here.

Is the void in the direction of feed or front to back on the machine? Front to back on the machine makes me think either losing transfer, belt slipping, or slipping of the collar on the drum drive in the back of the machine (usually get a compressed image as well.)I will not give you service manuals or firmware. -
feed direction. the void is at the trail. 2/3rds of the image is gone. i heard the compressed image thing is the drum flywheel in the back of the machine. i will check it out if the customer calls back.Comment
