    Studio e 451Color K DV Unit

We have 1 451 color box( kyocera dealer) with a Black dv unit giving me zebra prints( normal/very light strips)
Looking at the Dv you can see that the developer is missing on parts of the mag roller.
Soo I was wondering if their is a mode to refresh the dv and correct this problem.
Or, I can get a used dv unit and swap it,and if i swap it do I need to initialize it? In ether case please provide me with codes.

    Thanks

Cheapest and most reliable solution in my point of view is to change K developer. Beforehand You must be sure that K developer do not migrate to copies or toner bag. Missing developer is a symptom but not always the culprit.

Only codes won't help You. There are some specific setting on developer unit. So get trained technician to do all checks and settings!

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

If you want to wing it, go to ebay and pay 40 bucks for a bottle of developer. Open it up, dump it in and hope for the best. You need:
        D-3511-K Black Developer 6LA27227000

Common problem. Check all the HV contacts on the EPU. particularly main charge unit. Check the Charge grid is clean. Replace the developer, and check the bias connector on the front is firm. Power on the machine with 0 & 5 pressed - hold them till the machine goes beep. enter 204 and press start button. when the the machine finishes cycling and an enter button appears on the screen press ENTER. then press 396 and Start button.
