    [Electrical] E Studio 3511 display

I have a 3511 with a blank VGA screen. Need to know if this is common and can I get the VGA or do I have to purchase the entire control panel.

Part numbers welcomed as well as tech support

    Thanx in advance to all!!

Did you check the contrast slider on the side of the panel?

Yes, It does nothing. The screen stays blue and white at the same intensity.

First of all check cabling to the panel.
        Next are the part numbers...
        6LE46102000 ASYS-PNL-TOUCH-410 OR
        6LA88761000 PWA-F-DSP-371

You have to check which one is the culprit.

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

Check Power Up Sequence: Check to see if the remaining portions of the copier are powering up in a normal way. Check for things like fuser lamps or motor drives that are part of the normal power up sequence.
If the remaining power up sequence is reasonably normal, check for items local to the control panel. These would be things like checking to see if the control panel is receiving a suppy voltage, check connectors. If the copier has an LCD display, check to see if only the back-light has been lost -- that failure is generally specific to the LCD.

If the boot up sequence is abnormal, the problem may not be in the LCD. Check things like power supply outputs, logic board connections, pinched wires and disconnected subassemblies. If this problem occurred during or right after servicing, it is very important to carefully inspect the areas that were recently serviced. There are additional suggestions under

Power up is fine ... in fact the system will make copies. The panel is getting power as I said, it is lit with blue and white. There just isnt any display. Intensity remains the same regardless of the settings and if you attempt to touch the display you will hear a beep.

I did check the cable and it appears to be fine. Connections seem to be seated. The problem appeared 3 weeks after a service call, so I am fairly certain that it isnt due to improper or incomplete service, as it was running fine for 2 -3 weeks.
