e355 how to disable "TONER NOT RECOGNIZE"

Is there a way to disable this "TONER NOT RECOGNIZE" function.

our unit is Asian region and we need to set the country code to US to accommodate all US paper sizes and also the RADF but the "TONER NOT RECOGNIZE" appears when we do this.

I tried to set 08-499 as mentioned in a similar thread but it does not work.

i do appreciate any pointers and thanks in advance.

I think if you check in User Function,you will find an option to turn off this option.

thanks. but this just disable the Toner Near Empty message. The TONER NOT RECOGNIZE still appears when we set country code to US. i know it has something to do with the toner chip.

Are you using OEM toner? The new machines Say Toner not recognized, while the older ones said use genuine toshiba toner.
If using OEM toner, jig the front door and see if the toner drive is stalling. should spin smooth with no jerking.

sorry for the mixup. i was referring to Model e242 not the e355. yes we are using original toners. the unit is asia version and it works fine using A4 size paper. but when we try to change the country code settings to US so we can use LT and LG papers, the message "TONER NOT RECOGNIZE" appears and unit is not operable. will only operate if the country setting is set to Asia. i think this has something to do with the toner chip. can this be disabled?

i am facing with the same problem..i am supply around 20 units of toshiba e-352..as we know its have 2 type of toner cartridge..type D and type E (we can see at edge of toner cartridge)..D type for asian and E type for europe..so right now i import used copier from europe to my country (asian)..so for sure we dont have E type toner and we just insert katun brand which compatible for any type..after using this toner, appear sign at screen toner not recognise..although this happen..the machine is running properly..so just ignore this sign..so far i still have no solution to disable toner type detection..so maybe we can share here for more..i already searching at all 08 mode...unfortunately no setting to disable this...

To solve this problem,you must install firmware for your region.
Asia,Usa or Europe.

sorry but your problem is not the same as mine. in your case to use the toner D, you need to replace the COUPL-BTL-E 6LA68867200 with COUPL-BTL-D 6LA68867300.

Switch the ends of the toner cartridge to the toshiba ones or from type d to e (or the other way around). Only way i can think of gettin the message away. If you disconnect the micro switch (on the toner unit) it will still give the same message. The end of the toners just screw off (i know this thanks to some of my lovely customers).

by off toner near empty warn will not solve this toner not recognize warn..its different sign..
