Error code C970. Cleaned all coronas, but time after time code appears again. ? Any ideas ?

Pull out green Charge corona assy somtimes this thing gets dirty and make this error let it out and look if error repeats.

Do not use the prestrung by Toshiba. These are 2mm too long and cause arching. Restring manually and make sure they are tight. Do this for all three wires. If it continues then check the main charge connection behind drum unit and then replace the hvt.

Swaped CRG corona with one from old studio 45. Working perfect.. Thanks..

I get funny looks for this, but I carry clear nail varnish in my kit, If I'm in the field without coronas or end blocks, I pull off the terminals and varnish where they touch the metal. It stops them arcing through. Lasts for years too.

There is a damper brought out by toshiba to stop the charge corona wire vibration. The part number should be on the webiste. if not i will post when i find it.

Last time I ordered the wire damper mod, it sub'ed to a new mod kit that consist of both front and rear block covers with damper pads built on bottom of them that apply pressure to the wire, the part # is 6LE8293900F. The mod covers along with the heavy duty spring part# 6LA62852000 seem to work fine against the C970 problems. I use all Katun wires and grid with no problems as well, hope this helps.

I order this part. Ordered some recently. 6LE76302000. comes as a single damper.
