    E-Studio 520 -- Color Scanning?

    Hi Guys,

We have a Toshiba E-Studio 520 but both of them only scan in black and white. I've tried changing the settings to photo, etc, but no luck. I can't seem to find information on whether it has color scanning capability. Anyone know?

I know I have a black and white laserjet at home that scans in color so I don't see why this one wont =(

This has a b/w ccd so it can not and will not scan in color. I believe the first b/w Toshiba that has scan in color available is the estudio 453 series.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

The first Toshiba Black only print engine that can scan in Colour is the eStudio 255-455 series.

The e520 cannot scan in colour and this is no upgrade path.

Thanks guys. Just out of curiosity -- what is a ccd? Also, maybe someone else will find this thread and it'll satisfy their curiosity about it as well heh

charge couple device (spelling may be off) it basically takes a light source and changes it to a digital value for a processor to use.
