    how to get finisher to recognize ?

    Curious as to how one can make a MJ-1023 console finisher work on e452, plugs in but will not recognize, I know most of the 452's use the 1101 finisher...
    I can not find anything in 05 or 08 to enable ?

    Make sure the tiny finisher pcb is mounted and connected on the LGC pcb

      So in order to take a 1101 finisher off and put a 1023 finisher on - I have to install an additional board ???
      What is the part # of this extra board needed ?

      THANKS

        6LE00885000 IPC PCB. Make sure there isn't one there first.
        Regarding MJ1101: You're saying you are removing an MJ-1101 from an e452 ???
        My notes say the MJ-1101 is used on e-Studio 2330c, 2830c.
        I don't know that it even works on an e452. But I could be wrong. Sales brochure does not list it as one of the finishers for the e452.

          The IPC board is located (looking at the copier from the rear side) toward the upper-left of the copier main frame. Remove the rear cover, and the metal cover covering the PCB. Once you look at it you can't miss seeing the IPC board mounted on it (if it is there).

            yea, I know its not listed on the brochure, seems the finisher must have come out shortly after the brochure and it was decided to use on most 452's out there, I know 95% of the 452's I come across are using the 1101 finisher, but when I try and remove the 1101 and put on a 1023 it won't work, I guess I have to swap to the different board to make the 1023 work.

              Just found more info.:
              Check mode 08-912, on e452, for finishers MJ-1023 & MJ-1024 set to 0.

                Must be an add on because I do not see this info. in the service handbook but in my personal notes.
                0= MJ-1023, MJ-1024, and the 1= MJ-1101.

                    Make sure the ipc board has 1.4 version firmware and 08-912 as claudio stated.
