I am using e2830c with Word 2007. It works OK for me.

Try turning on 08-658-1. This makes the Bypass tray function like a paper drawer.

I'm sure it is the setting stored in WORD that is causing the problem. Have them change the setting to go to the bypass. Toshiba drivers get trumped by the settings in WORD.

Check within the Word job before you send the print to Private Print by doing the following:

        1. File
        2. Page Setup
        3. Paper Tab
        4. Make sure that the Paper Sources are set to either Default Tray which is normally followed by (Auto)

This sets the Word paper settings which can sometimes override the print driver settings. When you are in the Page setup and looking at the Paper Source, the (Auto) bit after the Default Tray depicts the default tray that your print driver uses, so if your driver is set to Tray 1 as the default, then it could read "Default Tray (Tray1)".

        See if that helps.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Go to Printer Properties/Configuration/Drawer Settings and check the box 'Overide Application Paper Source Setting'
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the restraints
