351c says dispose of used toner

I have put a brand new waste toner bottle in and it still says this. Is there something else I'm missing. I know some models have where you need go into service mode and clear as well but not sure about Toshiba.

Try cleaning the sensor that the bottle fits into. They can get dirty.

Can you tell me where the sensor is? Is it visible from the front when you remove the bottle? I deal mostly in Canon and don't see anything obvious that would be the sensor.

Also, what screws need to be removed to slide that unit out? There seems to be a handle but before I dismantle the whole thing, I was wondering if there is a simple way to get to those augers to check if they are clogged.

I ordered the manuals from Justmanuals and see that the sensor is in the rear of the machine, pulled out process unit and wiped off sensor.....still same thing, any other ideas?

Take the drum and drum blade, then vac out the cleaning station. Also remove the 2 screw from where the waste toner comes out and vac that area also. Careful when removing though, as there is a washer that can be easily lost (done it myself). The toner can sometimes become compressed and the shaft on the auger which makes and breaks the sensor you replaced will not move back to its home position. To check that it the shaft is moving freely try pulling it out slightly and see if it springs back to its home position.
The cause is usually the customer not changing the waste toner bottle when the machine asks. hope that helps
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

The shaft of the auger was bound up by part of the transfer roller that was coming apart and got jammed up in there. Took it apart, cleaned it all out, replaced the transfer roller, now color toner is not cleaning off the transfer roller or belt, resulting in horrible color copies......b/w are great, but color stinks.....any ideas?

Check the cleaner unit, some FOD may be in the unit causing it not to clean.

Have you checked to make sure the cleaning station is working as dale mentioned, also maybe worth checking to see if the transfer roller is operating correctly also. Is it the image of the colour copy/print left on the transfer belt and roller or just random bits of colour ?
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

Repl the transfer belt cleaning blade. Everything looks good now.
