What do I need to add for a estudio 35 to print and scan?

I think you will need the print controller, its a GA-1040 I think for those models. They are pretty old models so I am not sure on the availability of them.It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual. -
Stick with print if you can, the scan was a P.O.S. and support will be limited.

The GA-1040 wont support anything past WinXP 32bit only. The GL1010 if updated to the latest firmware will support up through Vista (I think) and will allow SMB, FTP, and Email scanning. I personally belive you are better off looking for someone that needs a boat anchor, not a print solution for this Toshibasaurus. E-studio 35 supports 2 print controllers:
- ga1040 - print only
- gl1010 - print & scan (for scan you need version 2.x system software, for version 1.x scan was optional)
Maybe you can find a used one.
On Toshiba | Managed Print Experts | Multifunction Printers and Copiers, Color Copiers, B&W Copiers, Faxes, Scanners | Toshiba Copiers you'll find the drivers for both (vista drivers usually run on win7 too).
