The GL1010 is now a long discontinued external controller for this copier based upon Windows NT.

Everything about the GL1010 was painful. Do yourself a favor and forget the GL1010. Remove it from the copier, junk it and be happy the copier works as just a copier.

If you're getting a print job to go that far, at least the GL is working. You will have to get into the control panel of the copier, ADMIN mode and disable department codes. Please don't ask for the admin password from me. The GL can be restored to "factory" through the control panel also. Push the "print" button, the GL interface screen should come up, enter admin password (dont ask once again) if needed and you should be able to navigate to the reset icon. If you are getting "starting controller" or "shutdown in progress" you will need to reload the GL OS. Bringing it up to the latest version will allow scanning (email, SMB, FTP) and printing up to server 2003/Vista 32 and 64 bit OS. The update process is difficult unless you are familiar with it. I would recommend starting with a new up to 160GB IDE HDD, the drive must be partioned then the new OS can be loaded. You need 2 cds to accomplish this. PM me if you're interested but I do agree with "SalesServiceGuy" the E28 and GL 1010 are obsolete and it may be just a waste of time. Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.
