    I can't send emails from my E-Studio 3511

I'm concerned as we have an Estudio 351 and 3511. Both appear to be set up properly, each with their own name and printing perfectly on the network. I can scan to the internal drive with their shared folder for each on the network. That works fine but not everyone wishes their sensitive scans to be in a shared folder at any time. Some prefer to use the scan to email function. Both copiers use the same gateway and both have the same email address book. These two machines are so similar but have subtle software variations. I cannot seem to find how to change the DNS server on the 3511 as it's different to the 351 which functions ok. The 3511 fails to send the email. Other than the DNS value I cant see the differences in the settings. On the 351 which works perfectly the Primary DNS server setting is 192.168.0.1 whereas the the 3511 is not the correct DNS server address and I cannot see where to set is in the Admin menus. I'll bet I'm missing something obvious.

Anyone got some thoughts on this please ? Regards Rod

Try to use IP address of e-mail server and You will not need DNS.

I'll never ask if I didn't check user manual, service manual, parts list, BSI/TNI/TAD... web, existing threads.

      Thanks for your input

Thanks for your input guys. As I expected it was my ignorance not a copier problem.

I printed out the settings of the Estudio 351 that works fine upstairs and I entered the same settings required into the 3511 via Top Access and it worked a treat. The information it required was not configurable via the Admin menu on the local control panel.

Thanks to all for helping out.
      Regards Rod

I am currently tackling the same issue. I am trying to setup the scan to email setting on a 3511 and cannot figure it out. The printer is not going through a mail server or anything it is plugged directly into a fios router it shows up on the network and can be printed to, I have made a gmail email for it. Can someone assist me with this issue, Thanks guys.

The 3511 doesn't support SSL/TLS, so wont work on Gmail, as far as I know.
