    e455 series damp heater

    just curious, does anyone know what a damp heater is? I found it while looking through the e455 installation guide...

      It removes humidity.

          They are sometimes fitted in the optics, and sometimes in the body of the machine, to overcome the effects of condensation. They have been known to cause problems for copier techs in that when the copier is off they are on, and have full mains voltage across them. Had one throw me across the room once.
