This machine is about a month old. I've got the error message F200 twice since it has been installed. I flash the machine to get rid of the message per manual. After I flash the machine it still shows the data erase as working. Anyone else had a machine that thinks the erase kit is being removed? Another tech had a same problem on an e555 and flashed once and it hasn't "errored" out yet.

The 255 se stands for security enabled, the data erase is always on by default.Comment

You have the wrong firmware installed on this machine, you must download the 255se firmware not the 255, after loading the correct firmware on the unit you need to perform 08-693 to initialize the nic card otherwise you wont be able to use Top Access. Make sure you have Sys 233, Scan 05 loaded on the machine. This is the minimum firmware for the SE version of this unit.Comment

Re: e255SE F200 data erase error
I am having the same problem with a 455SE.We've replaced the hard drive, sys board and logic board.I used to get a month out of it before it would throw the F200 but now it's only lasting 2 weeks before I have to reload the op system again.I have the latest firmware(released 7/13/12) in it but that has not helped.Comment
