    e-St 282 change HD from 40MB to 80MB

    Hi, when you change HD from 40MB to 80 MB will the machine format in 80MB?
    Will I gain storage space?

    As far as I know, a 80GB works fine. I don't think there is anything to gain from using the larger HDD though.

        Thanks, I know haw to upgrade firmware, I was just wandering about the storage improvement.

          There is No Storage improvement possible. The only reason why you would want to put an 80 GB HDD in is because you cannot find a 40 GB HDD anymore.

            estudio 282 series as far i know its supporting upto 40GB only, 80GB will work alright it will detect from the mainboard but it will act as a 40GB Hdd. therefore u will not gain extra space as maximum partition that it can support only upto 40GB. Its physically designed that way various firmwares will not gain u space either.
