You will need a twain driver/software from Toshiba to do this type of scanning. If you have the scan enabler installed there are a few (much) easier ways to setup scanning. The efiling you see at the copier will only allow you to set up boxes and scan (or print) documents to these boxes for later printing needs. Not designed to allow downloading back to PC. Try a google search for e-studio twain driver. Install this on your PC and follow the instructions. Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.
hmm...Is it possible if anyone could email me or provide me a link for the backup/restore utility software for archiving the efilling? I cant seem to find them in the client software. I dont find them in the ISOs from eid.toshiba or copiers.toshiba.com.
The backup restore will only make a savable copy of the data stored in the user boxes..still can't use the info ie download as PDF. Do you have any of the original disks that came with the MFP? The TWAIN driver is on 1 of these CDs. Emujo

i do have some of the discs. I also have the twain driver in the setup exe which installs together with the file downloader, drivers, docmon and etc. However, I believe I've seen before in the service manuals somewhere that it states that there is a utility which allows me to backup the efilling boxes along with the documents in it. This is so that I can reupload them back lets say after I do a HDD swap and a firmware reflash.
